A Look at the Future of the Internet

Washington, DC
Tuesday, January 10, 2012

On Thursday, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), will begin to take applications for an expanded number of web addresses. Currently, most web site addresses end in .org or .com. The new applications will increase the number of web address endings.

CSIS looked into this change with an address by Rod Beckstrom, CEO of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. His topic was "The future of the internet, who decides?"
