Actor Alec Baldwin Speaks About Art and Politics

The National Press Club hosted a discussion with actor and political activist Alec Baldwin focusing on arts and politics. He is in Washington, DC urging Congress for sustained federal funding for arts programs and education. Mr. Baldwin is also an animal rights activist and supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Recently, Baldwin sent a letter to the Agriculture Department to ask them to enforce the Animal Welfare Act in regards to the Ringling Brothers Circus and the well-being of its animals.  

In addition he is on the board of directors of several political advocacy groups including the Creative Coalition and People for the American Way.
