Attorney General and HHS Secretary Announce Medicare Fraud Enforcement

Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius announced that the Justice Department has taken action in a number of Medicare fraud cases.

The two cabinet secretaries held a news conference at the Department of Justice.  They were joined by Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer, FBI Deputy Director Sean Joyce, HHS Deputy Inspector General Gary Cantrell and Deputy Administrator for Program Integrity of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Dr. Peter Budetti.
