Author and Activist Randall Robinson on Book TV's In Depth

On Book TV’s In Depth, author and activist Randall Robinson.  The founder of advocacy organization TransAfrica will spend three hours taking viewers’ calls, Facebook comments, emails and tweets on topics such as the effects of integration, social justice, and U.S. policy toward African nations, among others.   The Penn State Dickinson Law School professor has written five non-fiction books, including “Defending the Spirit,” “Quitting America,” and his 2007 release “An Unbroken Agony.”

Randall Robinson has written five non-fiction books: “Defending the Spirit: A Black Life in America” (1998); “The Debt: What America Owes to Blacks” (2000); “The Reckoning: What Blacks Owe to Each Other” (2002); “Quitting America: The Departure of a Black Man from His Native Land” (2004); “An Unbroken Agony: Haiti, From Revolution to the Kidnapping of a President” (2007).

Randall Robinson is the founder and president emeritus of TransAfrica and founder of TransAfrica Forum. Founded in 1977, TransAfrica monitors legislative activities and lobbies for more progressive U. S. foreign policy towards "third world" nations. He has appeared on The Charlie Rose Show, Today, Good Morning America, The Tom Joyner Show and the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, among others.
