On Book TV’s In Depth, author and columnist, Steven Johnson.  The popular science writer and columnist for Discover magazine will spend three hours taking viewers’ calls, emails and tweets on topics such as the cyber world, popular culture and computer networking as a political tool.  

The bestselling author of “Everything Bad is Good for You” is the author of eight non-fiction books, including “The Invention of Air” “Where Good Ideas Come From,” and his 2012 release “Future Perfect.”

Steven Johnson is the author of eight books:

Interface Culture: How New Technology Transforms the Way We Create and Communicate (1999); Emergence: The Connected Lives of Ants, Brains, Cities, and Software (2002); Mind Wide Open: Your Brain and the Neuroscience of Everyday Life (2005); Everything Bad Is Good for You: How Today's Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter (2005); The Ghost Map: The Story of London's Most Terrifying Epidemic -- and How it Changed Science, Cities, and the Modern World (2006); The Invention of Air: A Story of Science, Faith, Revolution, and the Birth of America (2008); Where Good Ideas Come From: The Natural History of Innovation (2010); Future Perfect: The Case of Progress in a Networked Age (2012).

Steven Johnson was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of science and culture web magazine FEED.  His current website is outside.in.  Mr. Johnson lectures nationally and writes regularly for several publications, including Wired, Time, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
