Biden, Scalia and Boehner Attend "Ideas Forum"

Washington, DC
Thursday, October 6, 2011

The Washington Ideas Forum, hosted by the Aspen Institute and Atlantic magazine, is a two day event where journalists sit down one-on-one with news makers. Some of the country's most powerful policy makers, business leaders and media professionals took part in in-depth interviews on a wide range of personal and professional topics.

Today, Vice President Joe Biden, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, House Speaker John Boehner, Exxon Mobile CEO Rex Tillerson, Former Vice President Dick Cheney and Journalist Katie Couric took part in the discussion..

Yesterday, in the first day of the forum Senator Marco Rubio said he would not accept an invitation to run on the GOP presidential ticket and that the Republican Party cannot be the anti-immigration party. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told the crowd that it is "inexplicable" that the banks do not like President Obama.

The Washington Ideas Forum is an annual two-day event aimed at analyzing the past year, as well as the one ahead.
