Biden, other W.H. staff meeting with Congressional Leaders on Budget

Vice President Biden, along with White House Chief of Staff William Daley and OMB Director Jacob Lew are meeting with congressional leaders on Capitol Hill to discuss the spending bill for the rest of this fiscal year.

The meeting, scheduled for 4pm this afternoon will include House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Yesterday, the President signed a two week extension to allow the government to operate. The funding will run out on Friday March 18th.

If an agreement cannot be reached, then the government could shut down.
