The Bipartisan Policy Center held a discussion today on policy options to deter Iran's nuclear program, calling it "the most pressing national security challenge facing the United States."
Coinciding with Wednesday's discussion, the Center's Iran Task Force eeleased an analysis on the economic impacts, in particular, of the nuclear program, which could include higher gas prices and more instability in the market. The report is titled, “The Price of Inaction: Energy and Economic Effects of a Nuclear Iran.”
Notable speakers includes former Senator of Virginia Charles Robb (D) and Dennis Ross who served as a Middle East adviser for President Obama and President Clinton. The Bipartisan Policy Center’s Iran Task Force is co-chaired by Charles Robb along with retired U.S. Air Force General Charles Wald.
