Washington Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward joined C-SPAN's Washington Journal to discuss his latest book, "The Price of Politics".
Based on 18 months of reporting, the book chronicles the inside story of how President Obama and the United States Congress tried, and failed, to tackle the U.S. debt. Drawn from memos, meeting notes, emails and in-depth interviews with the central players, "The Price of Politics" addresses the current state of the U.S. economy and how the nation got to this point.
Mr. Woodward's last appearance on the Washington Journal detailed his book "Obama's Wars." The book explores President Obama's national security deliberations over whether to send more U.S. troops to Afghanistan. The Pulitzer Prize winner underscores the issues faced by administration officials, and the conflicts between several key players.
