Washington, DC
Friday, December 28, 2012

C-SPAN's Book TV takes a look at books on Congress from the past year, including one written by Rep. John Lewis (R-GA) about how lessons learned in the Civil Rights movement can be applied to today's politics.

Listen to book talks from Robert Draper, author of Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives, and Thomas Mann & Norman Ornstein, authors of It’s Even Worse Than It Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided with the New Politics of Extremism.

And visit a book party for Former Senator Alan Simpson (R-WY) and Donald Hardy, authors of Shooting from the Lip: The Life of Senator Al Simpson. Simpson served as a co-chair of President Obama's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.
