Topic: Guest will discuss the latest developments in the U.S. war in Afghanistan; the strained relationship between the U.S. and the Pakistani and Afghan governments; and the planned final withdrawal of U.S. and NATO troops from the region by 2014.  In 2008, Van Dyk -- working undercover as a independent journalist disguised as Pashtun local -- was captured and held by the Taliban on the AfPak tribal border and held for 45 days.
