Book TV: Rodney King Discusses Life After His Beating

In a new book, Rodney King recounts his life in the days and years following the video recording of his beating by the Los Angeles police on March 3, 1991.

Mr. King recalls the riots in Los Angeles following the acquittal of four of the officers in the case and reports on his own legal problems and alcohol addiction.

Rodney King spoke about his new book, "The Riot Within: My Journey From Rebellion to Redemption," at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, New York.  He co-authored the book with Lawrence Spagnola.
