Mitt Romney Wins CPAC Straw Poll

On the final day of CPAC's Washington, DC, convention, the results of a Washington Times/CPAC poll showed Fmr. Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) winning the support of 4,308 self-identified conservatives.

Romney drew 38 percent of the vote, Rick Santorum 31 percent, Newt Gingrich 15 percent and Ron Paul 8 percent.

Also participating today were Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Chairman of National Republican Senatorial Committee, Gov. Bobby Jindall (LA), Gov. Rick Scott (FL), and Grover Norquist, Americans for Tax Reform, fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK).
