The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber Foundation are hosting a 2012 Jobs Summit that brings together business leaders and a bipartisan panel of governors to discuss policies that produce jobs and economic growth.
One of the event highlights is the release of the third annual "Enterprising States" study, which details job growth, infrastructure and the regulatory environment in the 50 states.
A governors roundtable examines state policies that foster innovation and job growth. Governor Scott Walker (R), who just won a re-call election in Wisconsin, is joined by three other top state executives: Delaware Gov. Jack Markell (D); Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman (R); and Utah Gov. Gary Herbert (R). Major Garrett, Congressional Correspondent for National Journal, moderates the discussion.
The summit will also focus on job creation for the nation's veterans, with public sector partners signing a pledge to take part in the Chamber's "Hiring our Heroes" program.
