Cmte. for a Responsible Federal Budget Launches Debt Reduction Campaign

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CFRB) launched a "Campaign to Fix the Debt" on Tuesday.

The campaign aims to build support for a debt reduction plan to be passed by Congress and signed by the President by July 4, 2013.

Speakers included Honeywell CEO Dave Cote, Former Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH), former White House Budget Director Alice Rivlin, and former President of the World Bank Ambassador Bob Zoellick, among others.

CFRB is a bipartisan, non-profit organization made up of some of the nation's leading budget experts, including many of the past Chairmen and Directors of the Budget Committees, the Congressional Budget Office, the Office of Management and Budget, the Government Accountability Office, and the Federal Reserve Board, according to its website.
