Conservative Black Forum Discusses Economic Empowerment

Florida Congressman Allen West (R) and other African-American Republican leaders held a forum Monday to discuss ways to help small businesses in the African-American community.

Speakers including Former CEO of Black Entertainment Television Robert Johnson and other conservative economic leaders in the African-American community spoke about barriers to economic growth.

Congressman West, who is a member of the House Small Business Committee and Congressional Black Caucus, made opening remarks and participated in discussion.

Fox Business Network's Charles Payne moderated the discussion and additional panelists included: National Black Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Harry Alford; U.S. Black Chamber, Inc. Director Toya Powell; Florida State Rep. Mack Bernard; and National Black Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kay DeBow.
