Conservatives Discuss 'Fiscal Cliff' and Future of Republican Party

Washington, DC
Wednesday, December 19, 2012

Conservative leaders held a news conference at the Capitol to discuss Speaker Boehner’s so-called "Plan B" legislation.

Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), Club for Growth Vice President for Government Affairs Andrew Roth, Former Editor-in-Chief of American Spectator Magazine Al Regnery, ForAmerica Chairman Brent Bozell III and Heritage Action CEO Michael Needham made remarks on the topic and answered questions from the press.

The legislation would raise income taxes on those making $1 million a year or more and also addresses the estate tax, investment income and the alternative minimum tax.

Speaker Boehner announced the plan Tuesday, as alternative to a bigger agreement to avoid the so-called “fiscal cliff.”
