White House Press Secretary Jay Carney held his daily briefing at the White House.
He answered questions on the current negotiations over the so called "fiscal cliff," including House Speaker john Boehner’s (R-OH) “Plan B” proposal which the House is voting on Thursday.
Boehner’s plan would raise income taxes for those making $1million or more. This week, the White House has threatened to veto that legislation.
Lawmakers have until the end of the year to work on a deal that would avert the tax increases and budget cuts that are set to begin next year.
