Director of Consumer Bureau Testifies About New Report on CFPB

The House Committee on Financial Services conducts a hearing on the semi-annual report on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Richard Cordray, Director of the CFPB, testifies at the hearing.

The report details the Bureau's activities within the last six months. During this time frame, the CFPB has focused on consumer education campaigns and addressed consumer complaints about credit cards and mortgages, as well as dedicated offices to seniors, students and service members.
