On this week's "Communicators," C-SPAN welcomes Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, and Markham Erickson, executive director of the Open Internet Coalition as our guests to discuss Google's recent controversial privacy policy changes.
The policy, which took effect March 1, allows Google to share all of the personal data it has from more than 1 billion users across all of its services. Google says a key goal of the policy change is to create more complete pictures of each user so that Google can offer more personalizes services. Privacy advocates, however, oppose the change and have asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate.
Our guest reporter will be Paul Kirby, a senior editor at Telecommunications Reports.
"The Communicators" airs at 630PM on Saturday and 8AM and 8PM on Monday on C-SPAN2.
