This week marks the one-year anniversary when President Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Financial Regulations Act in to law. One of its provisions called for the creation of the Financial Stability Oversight Council to identify and respond to emerging threats in the industry. Its members discussed what’s happened since the law’s enactment, and why some of its measures have yet to be implemented.
Participants include Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Schapiro and the group’s chairman, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.
