Forum Discussion on Conservation Funding in Congress

Washington, DC
Monday, October 31, 2011

America’s Voice for Conservation, Recreation & Preservation, a 600 organization coalition, made the economic case for preserving federal conservation programs at a forum discussion in Washington.

Speakers at the event included the great-grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt, Wilderness Society President Bill Meadows, and former Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dale Hall.  They’ve been lobbying Congress in an effort to avoid cuts at the Interior Department, which is in charge of conservation grants to the states.
