The chairman of a House subcommittee that oversees the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) spoke at a forum on ways he would like to change the FCC’s regulatory authority. Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL) co-sponsored a measure the House passed recently, which attempts to reject recent FCC “net neutrality” regulations. Those regulations prevent internet access providers from blocking certain traffic across their networks. He’s followed by a panel discussion, which includes representatives from the major internet service providers and the FCC chairman’s chief of staff.
