GSA Acting Admin. Details Agency's Improved Spending Practices

The Inspector General at the General Services Administration said steps taken by the new leader of that agency could prevent a scandal like the 2010 Las Vegas conference that made news earlier this year for going over budget by hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Brian Miller testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.

The Acting GSA Administrator Dan Tangherlini told the Committee that he has cut the budget for GSA employee awards by 85%, applying a “can I explain this at a Senate hearing” test for future awards..
