Retired General Stanley McChrystal served almost four decades in the Army, commanding special operations in Iraq, and leading U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan.The four-star general spoke about his experience in Iraq and Afghanistan at an event in Washington, DC on Monday. The general resigned in 2010, following a controversial interview he gave to Rolling Stone magazine.
McChrystal led the International Security Assistance force in Afghanistan in 2009-2010 and was the commander of Joint Special Operations Command from 2003-2008.
