GOP presidential contender Newt Gingrich spoke with the Union Leader, a newspaper and website based in Manchester, NH. The newspaper announced its endorsement of Gingrich on Sunday.
The former House Speaker is up in recent nationwide polls, and is in a statistical dead heat with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in the most recent New Hampshire poll.
The Union Leader has previously held hour-long interviews with Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Rick Santorum. The paper had scheduled an interview with Herman Cain which his campaign subsequently cancelled. It's now been rescheduled with C-SPAN's cameras present for next Thursday.
