The House Rules Committee considers debate rules for three pieces of pending legislation concerning comprehensive tax reform, the Bush Era tax cuts and a one-year extension of the Farm bill.

Debate is scheduled to take place in the House on Thursday. 

The legislation includes: HR 6169, the Pathway to Job Creation through a Simpler, Fairer Tax Code Act of 2012 and HR 8, the Job Protection and Recession Prevention Act of 2012.

Rep. David Dreier (R-CA) chairs the committee and Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) serves as the Ranking Member.
