House Cmte. Reviews Federal Voting Assistance Program

House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel examined the the Federal Voting Assistance Program, which makes absentee voting easier for members of the military, their families and other U.S. citizens living abroad.

The hearing reviewed the implementation of the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, the program's effectiveness during the 2010 general election and the voting assistance provided to deployed service members.

Ambassador Kenneth Moorefield, Dept. of Defense Deputy Inspector General for Plans and Operations, and Federal Voting Assistance Program Acting Director Pamela Mitchell testified.
