House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was joined by several members of the Democratic leadership as she spoke to reporters after meeting with Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.
Leader Pelosi said that House Democrats are prepared to vote for middle class tax cut and called for House Republicans to join them. In her remarks, Pelosi said this is “stage one” and changing the tax code and making other cuts can be done soon in the next Congress.
