Following a meeting of House Democrats and Vice President Joe Biden to discuss the tax cut agreement that the Senate passed early Tuesday morning, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and other Democratic leadership held a news conference to discuss the meeting and to call on Speaker Boehner to bring the Senate bill for a vote on the House floor. The Vice President discussed with the Democratic Caucus the specifics of the deal and how the compromise came about. It is uncertain when debate and a vote on the bill will take place on the House floor.
