House Democratic leaders held a press conference at the U.S. Capitol urging House Republicans to reconvene Congress to complete its remaining legislative work. This news conference followed a House Democratic Steering & Policy Committee hearing on Medicare.
Members are meeting every three days in pro forma sessions where no legislative business is conducted. The House is scheduled to meet after the November elections for a lame duck session.
