House Minority Leader Pelosi Gives Legislative Update

Washington, DC
Thursday, March 8, 2012

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told reporters Thursday that it is very important for the House to move on a surface transportation bill, but to “move away” from Republican proposal, saying it is “off track.”

Rep. Pelosi also talked about jobs and the economy, calling the latest work in the house on a small business bill and “meager.”

This week, the House passed a bill that aims to boost hydropower development, despite opposition from Democrats that would exempt such projects from environmental review under the National Environmental Policy Act.
