The House Ways and Means Committee held a hearing today on the new health care law and Medicare. The witnesses are Medicare and Medicaid Administrator Donald Berwick and Richard Foster, the officials in charge of financing for the two programs. Mr. Berwick was given a recess appointment by President Obama over the objections of Senate Republicans.
