ISAF Deputy Chief of Staff Provides Updates on Afghanistan

Australian Army Brig. Gen. Roger Noble, the ISAF Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations updates reporters in Washington on the situation in Afghanistan in a video conference from Kabul.

He addressed the recent decision by the commander of ISAF forces to discontinue regular joint patrols that included both Afghan and coalition forces after a spate of so-called "Green on Blue" violence, Afghans working alongside coalition troops have killed American and British soldiers.

The Afghan security forces have vowed to re-evaluate all of its members to try to root out infiltrators or men who have come under the influence of the Taliban.
