The Republican primary contest between longtime Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) and challenger, Indiana State Treasurer Richard Murdock (R), continued Wednesday when they met in Indianapolis for their first and only debate.
Phil Bremen, a retired TV broadcaster, moderated the discussion which included questions from voters.
The Indiana Primary is May 8th. The winner will face Democratic U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly in the November general election.
The debate is sponsored by Indiana Debate Commission, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization.
