Nebraska Democratic Senator Ben Nelson is retiring from the Senate at the end of this year after 12 years in office. In November, the Senator talked with C-SPAN on why he thinks compromise in the Senate isn’t “a four letter word.”
He also discussed his work as member of the Gang of 14, a bi-partisan group of Senators who in 2005 successfully negotiated a deal on approving judicial nominations.
The 2-term Senator will be replaced in January by Republican Deb Fischer.
