White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday that President Obama wants to separate sequestration from the issue of raising the debt ceiling. He told reporters at a White House press briefing that Congress should never cast doubt on if it will pay its debts and warned of the financial consequences of not raising the debt ceiling.
