President Holds White House Press Conference

President Obama commented on the Senate defeating a motion to proceed to the nomination of Richard Cordray to be head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at a White House briefing. He also discussed the payroll tax cut debate and answered questions from reporters.

Following President Obama, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney held his own press briefing.
