Leader of U.S. Africa Command Discusses Security Challenges

General Carter Ham, Commander of U.S. Africa Command, discussed the security challenges and opportunities facing the United States in Africa at George Washington University.

He spoke Monday about issues affecting the regional security and stability of Africa, as well as the terrorism threat in the Maghreb, the Sahel, and in the Horn of Africa. 

Frank Cilluff, Director of the Homeland Security Policy Institute, moderated the discussion.
