Mitt Romney Responds to Caucus Losses and W.H. Contraception Rule

Mitt Romney in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA
Wednesday, February 8, 2012

Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney told reporters in Atlanta that his recent loss in three state caucuses and primaries was “not good,” but that he would still be able to pick up delegates and win the nomination “if we do our job right.”

Former Governor Romney also responded to criticism by White House Press Secretary Jay Carney over the Obama Administration’s contraception rule. At a White House press briefing, Carney called it ironic that Romney was attacking the President over this issue since a similar policy was is in place in Massachusetts when he served as governor. Romney responded in this news conference that the state law was in place before he became governor and fought to get it removed.
