Mitt Romney Responds to Questions About His Taxes

North Las Vegas, Nevada
Friday, August 3, 2012

Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney spoke to reporters Friday in North Las Vegas, Nevada about comments Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made this week that he hadn’t paid his taxes. Romney said it was time for Reid to "put up or shut up" and name his source for this information.

The former Governor also said his pick for a vice presidential running mate would definitely come sometime before August 29, the third day of Republican National Convention.

Prior to this press conference, he held an event at the Sierra Truck Body & Equipment where he said the President’s policies are to blame for the economy not improving and cited Friday’s news that the unemployment rate increased to 8.3 percent. He also talked about his own five-point plan to help middle class families.
