Republicans and Independents gathered at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale to choose their preferred GOP presidential nominee. Mitt Romney was the winner at this caucus, with 116 out of 335 votes, or 35%. Rick Santorum placed second with 25%, and Ron Paul was third with 15%.
Newt Gingrich placed fourth, followed by Michele Bachmann in fifth place. Jon Huntsman, who did not mount a campaign in Iowa, recieved one vote.
