Mitt Romney hit the campaign trail Thursday in Golden, Colorado where he unveiled a "presidential accountability scorecard," which included five areas that he said will help grow the U.S. economy. His five-point plan included energy independence, ensuring young people have the right skills to succeed, improving the U.S. trade system and reducing the national deficit.
Romney senior advisor Eric Fehrnstrom held a conference call with reporters previewing the event. t's Romney's first campaign appearance back in the United States after a week-long trip overseas and senior-level advisors in the Romney campaign.
The event comes the same day the Obama campaign released a new ad attacking Romney's plan. The ad will air in New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado and Nevada.
