NEA President Discusses Education Reform

The head of the National Education Association, Dennis Van Roekel, called on members to re-elect President Obama at the union’s annual meeting in Washington, DC. His speech focused on the changing demographics of students and criticisms teachers are facing in tough economic times. He called on teachers to “raise their game” in preparation and professionalism in teaching.

The National Education Association is the nation’s largest labor union with over 3 million members representing public school teachers, support personnel, faculty & staff at universities, retired educators & college students preparing to become teachers.
