Washington, DC
Sunday, August 5, 2012

This week on Newsmakers, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, talks about the key Senate races for 2012 and the strategy for winning a majority in the U.S. Senate.

Democrats have twenty-one Senate seats up for election, plus two independents who caucus with the Democrats, while Republicans have ten seats up for election.  The Republicans need to win a total of four seats to gain a majority in the Senate.

Our guest reporters are Susan Davis, Congressional Correspondent for USA Today, and Jennifer Duffy, Senate Editor for the Cook Political Report.
