Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich (R-GA) spoke at a dinner hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition in Los Angeles. He said that as president, he would move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and suspend U.S. funding of the United Nations if the organization recognized a Hamas-led Palestinian state.
The former House Speaker also said that the Obama administration was not effectively dealing with Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons. This was Mr. Gingrich’s first speech since the senior members of his campaign resigned. He has indicated that he plans to stay in the race.
