The Peter Peterson Foundation held its second annual day-long fiscal summit to discuss solutions to the nation’s fiscal challenges and how to reduce the current federal debt and deficit. Speakers at the forum included former President Bill Clinton, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI), White House Economic National Council Director Gene Sperling and members of the “Gang of Six,” a bipartisan group of Senators who are working on a 2012 federal budget deal.
In addition, officials from policy think tanks such as the American Enterprise Institute, Bipartisan Policy Center, Center for American Progress, Economic Policy Institute, Heritage Foundation and Roosevelt Institute Campus Network discussed their proposed fiscal solutions for long-term economic growth.
