Politicians Consider Economic Crisis Scenarios

Politicians, policy experts and journalists take part in a role-playing event focused on the economic crisis, hosted by George Washington University.

Participants will respond to hypothetical scenarios related to the global economy, sequestration and the debt ceiling.

They include: Rep. Donna Edwards(D-MD), Rep. Scott Rigell (R-VA), former Sen. Robert Bennett (R-UT), former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-TN), former Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM),  former mayor of Tampa, Fla. Pam Iorio, journalist and author Farai Chideya, National Correspondent for The Atlantic James Fallows, Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden, former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Bipartisan Policy Center President Jason Grumet.

Frank Sesno, director of the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs, will lead the event.
