Mitt Romney plans to select his Vice Presidential running mate later this month. Earlier this week, the Romney campaign released its new mobile app to let people know who Romney picks as his VP candidate. Senators Rubio, Portman, and Thune as well as Representative Ryan and former Governor Tim Pawlenty have all been mentioned as possibilities.
These Romney surrogates campaigned for the Republican Presidential candidates in battleground states last weekend.
Senator Rubio held a rally at the C.C. Ronnow Elementary School, which he attended when he was living in Las Vegas. Ohio Senator Portman rallied in the swing state of Pennsylvania at Farm and House Center in Lancaster.
Tim Pawlenty led a roundtable of parents with kids playing sports at the Polar Ice House in Cary, North Carolina. Representative Ryan was joined by RNC Chair Renice Priebus on a Romney bus tour through Wisconsin and South Dakota Senator Thune stopped by Mitt Romney Virginia headquarters and took a few phone calls.
