President Obama spoke at a campaign rally in Las Vegas at the Desert Pines High School on Sunday. Grammy Award winners Maná were among the performers.
The President is expected to encourage Nevada residents to register to vote by the October 16th deadline. Early voting in the state begins on October 20th and runs through November 2nd.
The Nevada Secretary of State reports that as of May, there were almost 573,000 registered Democrats, over 475,000 registered Republicans, and over 311,000 Nevadans who were registered as third-party, independent or non-partisan.
Nevada is also home to a competitive U.S. Senate race between Sen. Dean Heller (R) & Rep. Shelley Berkley (D).
